Ops Tukar Garden 2005
As usual, I'm out of ideas on what to write. So let me update you on our latest project at home - Ops Tukar Garden 2005.
The background of this is this. We woke up one weekend morning to find that our garden, out of neglect, was already half dead, if not dead. The grass was brown, flowers all lifeless and shrivelled up, and our palm trees left with just, almost stumps and no leaves blowing with the wind. Ugly..it was ugly.
Whilst I can normally close one eye to this eye-sore since I'm at home only nights most of the time and especially since I'm no Mrs Greenfingers and neither am I, Ms Gardening Enthusiast, my N or what I call (affectionately?) my "Mr Tak Puas Hati", just couldn't take it. Just like how he can't take defects in anything in the house and therefore we have people bertukang-ing in house perpetually every other day changing this and that...
So, N launched his Ops Tukar Garden a month back, which was completed two weeks ago. He replaced almost everything, the grass, the palms and reshuffled those plants which were still alive to different parts of the garden. Ok lah, ok lah..to put the records straight, my hero did not do this with his bare hands of course. We had lots of help on this project.. Me? My role was tukang buat air saja..
After two weeks, this is the results.
Tengku Armin our resident rabbit
Well, I think he did a good job..and we have a greener garden, for now. N is happy, the children are happy, I am happy, my bibiks are happy and even our resident rabbit, Tg Armin, is happier as he has a greener playground and live, healthy plants to nibble on now. I'm just praying hard that it'll stay green for at least the next three years or so, or else, N will go on another change-out frenzy. At the rate he's going, only God knows what he'll want to change out next. Oh well..as long as he's happy!
Jangan dia pikir nak "change-out" bini sudah lah ya? ;p

huwahhhhhh nak garden, nak garden. was thinking of blogging abt this but too painful, may be I will when I have the strength.
atn: I should have taken photos of before the "ops". you could've cried..even the fish in our lil pond were crying buckets!
how painful is painful? go do sit ups on yr ball and tell us yr story pulak k?
send N over to do my nature reserve! u know what its like, dont u?
narfy: it's not bad isn't it? N is good at these things. come! come! we have lil garden picnic can also..
kakteh: I thought "nature reserve" was the theme for yr garden and hence, the "look". Oklah tu. Will see if can fly N over someday..must "prep" him up first. Tukang buat air tak nak sekali ke?

kena buat garden warming party nih :)
R: thanks..it's all Ns work. If only we could spend more time in it to relax and get some eye-therapy eh?
shidah: everyday and anyday, is a good party day. you're welcome anytime! :) sebab, kalau nak tunggu buat party tu, memang lah tak de..
huwaa huwaaa....sexy lah garden you...i takde garden :(, itinggal rumah burung :(....
so lucky of you to have a houseproud hubby.no need to headache headache to make the place lawa lawa.
nazrah: yes I am lucky to hv a hubby like N who likes to do stuff around the house. thats why it's ended up looking like a kapal (the interior i mean), but I'm ok with that. if he's heppi, i lagi heppi lah kan?
Woweee.. you live in a kapal and your garden looks like THAT! And you have your own zoo negara!
i wanna do a duet of rollroll pagal-pagal in sarees with ely lah!
OOD: you just tell me what colour saree you want...I'll throw in some matching anklets with bells too! but must show belly.
the kapal look (only parts of the houselah) is from his days at sea. he probably didn't have enough of it. also good if want to act out the "titanic" scene. The "you jump, I jump" one. (yeah right..like we have the time for that huh?)
Oh my gawd!! Your garden is so lawa I can pengsaaan!! Count yourself lucky that N is the type who tak tahan / sakit mata after awhile when he sees an eyesore!! Kalau my hubs, if our garden was neglected, it could very well be growing Guinness' Book sized Rafflesias (which would stink up the whole house if not neighborhood) and he STILL wouldn't do squat (or be completely oblivious) about it!! :p
anedra,
ni rumah ker resort?...hehhehehe...no wonder you selalu buat garden party. Your place is very..very..very nice indeed
aske'
Show my belly?
I dont want to show pon it potrudes itself out in all its roundish glory like konduktor bas's pouch bag!
No problem at all!
blabs: thanks !thanks! but I really dowan u to pengsan over my garden lah! Yes, N is super around the house..very meticulous sometimes it gets on me nerves. But overall ok..This is his dream house by the way. SO I couldn't stop him..he deserves to dream too, kan? and make em come true!
aske': I rasa the camerawoman (me!) was good with taking the pictures. in real life, ok jer..but we're happy with it.
OOD: yes aah?? eehhh..sama lah kita! I'll join u guys in yr belly-bolly dancing rolling and all!
Waa... lawanya garden . Mesti hubby I jeles kalau tengok . He's into garden ... he'll do it with his bare hands . Tapi taman sekangkang monyetnya je.
Kak Teh suruh pi tengok your garden masa chat semalam, dah tengok dah. Jeles lah tau dak. Nanti kita nak bubuh gamaba buah rambutan kat "orchard" tau baru boleh "teng" garden u tu hahaha.
Tak tau apa tu "teng", pi tanya mak menakan blurr tu OK?
Jokes aside, WOW, it's a beautiful garden and would love to stroll in it one of these days *bat eyelid at anedra" Nak ngendeng invitation ni hehehe
Mrs Amd: lucky you, you have a husband who can garden himself! N tries, but the last time round, everyhting died. So this time, we called in some professional help!
Aunty N: Sila lah sila! Kalau dah datang KL tu, anytime..datanglah rumah! Just gimme a tinkle!
Kalau dah lawan pokok rambutan tu..takleh buat apa lah. I surrender! Kena "teng"! Eh..betul ke usage "teng" tu..will ask The Blur One.
Massy: Thanks dear. Tuan dia tak ler lawa macam garden dia. Yes..go rempuh your neighbours garden! If u do a good job, I'm sure they won't mind! :)
